Madison Avenue Jewelry Store

The design approach for this small storefront space on Madison Avenue worked contrary to the common logic of jewelry stores; whereby every surface becomes display here walls were to be left without any ornament. Instead, the main focus is a large wooden box/table with a number of visible and hidden compartments. We took on as a starting point jewelery boxes from Ancient Egypt. The only element in the space, the table is an artifact containing secret compartments and visual delights
